At Alan & Joan, we aim to provide customers with a clear and dependable delivery process. The information below explains where we ship, how orders are processed, and what customers can expect regarding shipping timelines. We currently ship exclusively to customers within the United Kingdom.

1. Shipping Availability

At this time, Alan & Joan ships orders within the United Kingdom only. Orders placed from outside the United Kingdom cannot be fulfilled.

2. Delivery Address

Orders are shipped to the address entered at checkout. Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipping details are correct and complete. Incorrect or missing information may lead to delivery delays or returned packages.

3. Order Processing

Orders are typically verified on the same day they are placed, provided they are made during business hours (before 6:00 PM GMT, Monday to Friday). Orders placed on public holidays or over the weekend are verified on the next business day.

Once verified, items are prepared and dispatched by our international fulfilment partner, located outside the UK, within 3 to 5 business days.

4. Shipping Time

After dispatch, the estimated delivery time to the United Kingdom is typically 9 to 15 business days (Monday to Friday).

Delivery times may vary due to factors such as:

  • Seasonal demand
  • Carrier capacity or logistical limitations
  • Customs clearance procedures
  • Public holidays
  • Increased order volume during sales or promotional periods

5. Estimated Total Delivery Time

Total delivery time consists of:

  • Processing time: 3–5 business days
  • Shipping time: 9–15 business days

This results in an estimated overall delivery timeframe of 12 to 20 business days from the date of purchase. These timeframes are estimates and may vary due to circumstances beyond our control. All shipments include a tracking number so you can monitor your parcel's progress from dispatch to delivery.

6. Shipping Costs

All orders placed with Alan & Joan include free shipping. No additional shipping or handling charges apply.

7. VAT, Customs & Import Charges

All prices on our website are shown in British Pounds (GBP) and include UK VAT, which is collected at checkout. For orders with a total value of £135 or less, there are no further VAT, customs or import charges to pay on delivery.

For orders with a total value above £135, UK customs rules require import VAT and any applicable duty to be assessed when the parcel enters the UK, and the carrier may collect these charges before delivery. If you are asked to pay import VAT on an order where VAT was already included in our price, please contact us and we will refund the VAT we collected.

8. Secure Payment Methods

We offer several secure payment options, all protected through SSL encryption, including Mastercard, Visa, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, and Amazon Pay. All payments are processed through trusted providers.

9. Order Tracking

Once your order has shipped, you'll receive a confirmation email with a tracking link. You can also track your order at any time via our Track Your Order page. Tracking updates may take 3 to 8 business days to become visible after dispatch, depending on the shipping carrier.

10. Failed Delivery or Incorrect Address

If a shipment cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address:

  • The package may be returned to our logistics partner
  • Our support team will contact you to resolve the issue
  • We will assist in arranging a redelivery or another suitable solution

Once a shipment has been dispatched, carriers do not allow us to change the delivery address, so please check your details carefully before completing your order.

11. Delivery Confirmation

Once the shipping carrier marks a package as delivered, the order is considered delivered. If you're unable to locate your package after it has been marked as delivered, our support team will help you contact the carrier and investigate.
